Doug Johnstone – Crime Author

Our S2 class had the opportunity this week to take part in a workshop with Doug Johnstone, well known Scottish crime author. Doug’s bio from Wikipedia states:

Doug Johnstone is a Scottish crime writer based in Edinburgh. His eighth novel, Crash Land, was published by Faber and Faber in November 2016. His previous book, The Jump was shortlisted for the McIlvanney Prize for Best Scottish Crime Novel.

Our S2 students really enjoyed the day – getting advice from a top writer on how to develop characters and plot. Thanks to Julie (our Librarian) and Ms Hart for organising the day.
