Nick Park – Stop Frame Animation

On Friday, our students in Lower Primary had the opportunity to attend Mareel and watch a screening of Creature Comforts and The Curse Of The Were Rabbit, as well as a question and answer session with Director Nick Park. It was an amazing experience and our students got to ask the world famous animator about his characters, the animation process and his films.

The students learned that it takes nearly 18 months for a 30 minute film and that the animators get (on average) 3 seconds of film completed per day – showing the dedication required to produce such a piece of work. Some of our students also had their own Wallace & Gromit or Shaun The Sheep merchandise signed!
