This mosaic at the entrance to the school was created in the summer of 1996, by members of the Unst Youth Group and secondary pupils. They were assisted by local artist, Lesley Burr. It depicts the scenery and life of Unst both past and present. The project was completed with assistance from the Shetland Arts Trust and the Shetland Islands Council’s Community Work Division
The playground painting above is in in front of the school and shows the Shetland flag and a compass.
