Unst is a reasonably small island (12 miles by 8 miles) which makes it a perfect place for cycling. In addition to this Unst has a network of high quality roads and some fantastic views, so the opportunity to cycle around the island and take in the views is there for the visitor.

Cycle Hire

It is possible to hire bicycles from either Unst Cycle Hire (01957 711393 / 01957 711254) or from P&T Coaches (01957 711666).

Unst Cycle Hire is based at Foords Chocolates & Café Haroldswick Unst Shetland ZE2 9TP.

Hire charge per day – adults £7.50

Hire charge per week – adults £40.00

Hire charge per day – under 16 £5.00

Hire charge per week – under 16 £30.00

All Cycles for hire are 2012 models. Hire or purchase of a backpack can be also arranged. Collection between 9am & 10.30am.  Cycles must be returned by 5pm unless a later return time has been arranged. Minimum hire period 1 day. Hire charge includes use of cycle, hire of safety helmet, hire of cycle security lock, public liability insurance. All hire charges to be paid in cash or by cheque in full on collection unless otherwise agreed. Payment in advance can be arranged via bank transfer. If you wish to transport to Fetlar or Yell this has to agreed in advance with Unst Cycle Hire before taking the Cycles off the island.
