Greenwells Booth is a 17th century stone house located at the old Uyeasound Harbour, next to the Gardiesfauld Youth Hostel. This was once a Hanseatic trading booth used from the early 1700’s by the Scott family for their trading operations. After investigation, it is thought the booth served as a store for fish farm floats.

The booth was built between 1646 – 1705 and through the years moved frequently between owners. In recent decades the booth has been placed next to a bustling harbour, with a local shop at one stage providing the locals at the south of the island. Although the booth is roofless and disused now, the information board located in front of Greenwells Booth will provide you with more information.
