An end of season clash against Burra, all eyes on the night of celebration to follow.
Saturday, 22nd September 2007 - Premier League
| Unst | 3 - 1 | Burra |
| (HT 1-0) | ||
| D. MacMillan | J. Johnson (o.g) | |
| P. Henderson (x2) |
The result of this match was not going to affect the final positions in the table but both sides were very competitive. Burra kept things tight early on and did not allow the Unst midfield to dominate them and both sides struggled to create chances.
The home side eventually got the opening goal when David McMillan managed to evade the Burra defence to steer the ball home. The home support expected Unst to take control but Burra continued to stifle Unst and through John William Red and McNally held the defence together until half time.
The second half continued in the same vain with Unst having a few close calls but Burra looking like they could cause an upset. It was the away side who scored with young Jordon Johnston being the unlucky player to turn the ball into his own net.
With Unst rocking it was Paul Henderson who broke into the Burra box and went down after a some what clumsy challenge. He straightened up his hair and put away the resulting penalty. With ten minutes left Unst put the result in no doubt when the hard working Paul Henderson glanced the ball into the net.
Best on the day for Burra were John William Red, Graham McNally and John William Halcrow while Neil Smith, Paul Henderson and Darren Thomson shone for Unst.
Both sides met in the Uyeasound Hall and were treated to a seafood feast with some surprises. Some amusing presentations and prizes were then dished out and both teams reflected on the past season with refreshments.
Unst would like to thank Burra for staying up for the end of season event and all those who helped Unst FC throughout the season.
