Baltasound and Mid Yell JHS YPI Finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our S3 pupils travelled to Yell to take part in the Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) final presentations, sponsored by the Wood Foundation and Arven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After researching local social issues and charities which support them, each group chose a charity to represent, then created a presentation to deliver to staff, pupils and the judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to the winning team who represented Shetland Bereavement Support Services, a worthy <\/a>charity who will make good use of the \u00a33000 prize fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special thanks to the judges who had a hard task separating the groups who all delivered confidently, clearly and passionately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
