Aurora borealis

It has been the best winter for some year for seeing the Aurora borealis, also known as the Northern Lights or, in Shetland, as the Merrie Dancers. This has been despite the fact that it has been frustratingly cloudy at times, but when there have been clear skies there have been some impressive displays.
