Sport Relief Mile Challenge raises £1800

Organiser Caroline Hunter and Baltasound Junior High School pupils invited along the Unst community to join them in the Sport Relief Mile Challenge. Participants were given a choice of 1, 3 or 6 mile routes around Baltasound, and asked to walk, run, three-leg it or even  pogo it!
Afterwards participants refuelled at the school, where soup, sandwiches, hot drinks and fancies were available along with some fun games organised by the upper primary class.

Caroline Hunter noted after the event “It just amazes me how wir peerie community can keep doing this, time and again – what a wonderful place to be”

Total money raised by Unst community was £1800.

£900 will go towards Sport Relief.

£900 will go towards the community defibrillator
