Nae Pasaran

On Tuesday this week, all of our S3 and S4 students (with Mr Thomson and Ms Hart) attended a pre-screening of Nae Pasaran, at Mareel. This was a fantastic opportunity for our students (and staff) to learn about democracy, human rights, trade unions and about your own moral compass.

The film was thought provoking, emotional and showed the impact ordinary people can have when they make a stand for what they believe in; a small group of factory workers in East Kilbride taking on the might of the Chilean military, the UK Government and their own employers. Afterwards, the students got to ask the director questions and the BJHS students were able to ask thought provoking questions which Felipe Bustos Sierra answered well. An excellent, unique experience for all of us.
