Da Voar Redd Up 2016
|A bright and sunny day helped this year’s Da Voar Redd Up be so successful, with the whole school involved in cleaning up and removing rubbish from our environment.
As is tradition, the Nursery students did their own Redd Up in the school grounds and collected many bags of rubbish. The Lower and Middle Primary classes covered Skeotaing beach and the Upper Primary covered Ordale to the Booth. The Secondary students covered the coastline from deepest, darkest Hamar all the way into Skibhoul.
It was a fantastic day and the students learned a lot about the types of litter we find on our coastline and discussed where it could have come from and what could be done to improve it.
