The whole school took part in creating plate book characters, and the results were fantastic! ![]()
The entries have now been judged, and we’re delighted to announce the winners: Bobby, Calum, Emma, and Mrs Niven. Congratulations to our runners-up: Ruden, Lucy, Ellis, and Miss Risk.
Bairns also participated in Reading Buddies, an activity they always enjoy. It’s always lovely to see them reading together ![]()

Every child received a book token to discover their next great read

Nursery took part in Stop and Read ![]()
![]()
, helping them engage in short bursts of reading and build positive associations with books. They also took part in a fairy tale hunt.
Middle Primary pupils built book worlds from a range of materials, creating settings from their favourite stories. This task developed their creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and initiative.
Upper Primary demonstrated their mathematical understanding through book-themed tasks involving addition, measurement, decimals, statistics, money, and scale and ratio.
Secondary students took part in a book-themed anagram hunt organised by our wonderful Reading Ambassadors ![]()
. Some secondary pupils also experienced a special digital Harry Potter and the Cursed Child event, going behind the scenes with the cast, crew, and backstage team.
Staff were invited to take part in a writing competition celebrating creativity throughout the school. The winners were Mr Spence (1st), Ms Nicholson (2nd), and Ms Thomson (3rd)
