Norik Up Helly Aa
On Friday we were delighted to welcome Norik Up Helly Aa Guizer Jarl Floki Skjaldcrafter (Liam Spence) and his 29-strong Jarl Squad to the school – many of whom are former pupils.
They performed the Up Helly Aa Song and their squad song, Walk of Life, before heading over to the Primary department to spend time with the bairns. The squad joined in with dancing, a game of What’s the Time, Mr Wolf?, construction challenges, and plenty of photo opportunities. They also helped carry out some World Book Day presentations, which the pupils really enjoyed.
It was a fantastic visit and the bairns loved having them in the school. We hope Liam and his squad had a tremendous weekend and thank them for taking the time to come and see us.
Please have a look through some of the photos below from their visit. ![]()
