| Our John Muir Award Conservers and Explorers were lucky to be involved in some Conservation in action on Monday. They were joined by staff from Shetland Amenity Trust, Sue White, Peatland Restoration Project Officer, and some of the woodlands team Stephen, Paul and Dirk.
We were shown how to build dams which would help to renovate eroded parts of the old path.
We were also lucky enough to see some sphagnum moss fruiting bodies. To find out more about the Shetland Amenity Trusts peat restoration project go to https://www.shetlandamenity.org/peatland-restoration-project.
